Outpost keeps your records on your iPhone. There’s no Outpost account and no Outpost server, and we don’t collect what you write or track.

1. Who this covers

Outpost is made by Greg Keegan (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Outpost app for iPhone and this website. It explains what stays on your device, what the services we rely on (Apple, RevenueCat and Cloudflare) handle, and your choices.

2. What stays on your iPhone

Outpost stores everything you give it in a database on your device:

your start date, daily check-ins, past streaks and longest streak
field notes: what helped, your own reasons, and notes on harder days
your spending estimate and the currency taken from your phone’s region
settings such as reminder times, the painting behind Home, and edited daily lines
a random device id created by the app, shown in Settings, used only on the device

None of this is sent to us. We can’t read it, and we can’t recover it for you. Outpost has no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and doesn’t use your records for profiling.

3. Notifications, sharing and Photos

Check-in reminders and Encouragement notes are local notifications: they’re written and scheduled on your phone, not sent from a server. You can turn them off in Outpost’s Settings or in iOS Settings.

When you tap Share, Outpost makes an image of your count and shows it to you first. It only leaves the app if you choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. If a share sheet isn’t available, Outpost can save the card to Photos, which asks for permission to add a photo. Outpost never reads your photo library.

On the Get help screen, Call and Text hand the number to your phone. Outpost doesn’t record that you used them.

4. Purchases: Apple and RevenueCat

Apple processes every purchase, trial, renewal and refund through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Outpost uses RevenueCat to check whether a subscription or lifetime purchase is active and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id it creates, your App Store purchase records, and basic technical information such as app version, iOS version, storefront country and IP address. It does not receive your check-ins, notes, spending or any other records. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

5. Backups, deletion and moving phones

Your records stay until you erase them. Settings → Erase all data removes your streaks, notes, custom reasons and spending estimate. Deleting the app also removes its data; offloading it keeps it.

If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, a copy of Outpost’s data may be included, under Apple’s or your computer’s settings. That’s how your records move to a new iPhone. Outpost doesn’t run its own backup service.

6. This website

This site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the pages, Cloudflare processes connection information such as your IP address and browser details. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The site sets no cookies, has no analytics or advertising, and loads its fonts from this site rather than a third party. The money calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing.

7. Adults only

Outpost is meant for adults. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because your Outpost records never reach us, you already hold them: you can view, change or erase them in the app. For data held by Apple or RevenueCat, contact them or us and we’ll help.

9. Changes and contact
